We spent a gorgeous weekend in Haystore; a perfect cottage for two couples (it would also be great for families - we can see kids adoring the mezzanine snug). We loved the living area and kitchen especially. The kitchen was so well appointed - brilliant that we didn't need to bring loads of bits with us (like tea towels and herbs etc) and it made cooking a lovely experience. Great sociable dining table with beautiful crockery etc - better than home and felt like a real treat (which is unusual for a lot of self catering properties). The cottage was well laid out and everything worked brilliantly; Carly and Richard have thought of everything! The outside area was great too - lovely to sit out and have morning coffees. The welcome basket was also a lovely treat. We did walks straight from the door up to Smardale Viaducts - so many great walks nearby and we'll definitely be back to do more in future. Great to be able to walk in to Ravenstonedale where we had the best Sunday lunch at The Black Swan. Perfect!
