Fenham Barn

Great Christmas week for our family bubble. House is well kitted out with all you would need for a great family holiday. Good location near to Kirkby Stephen, Appleby, Sedbergh and Kendal for your supermarket requirements. Pity that the vast majority of the pubs were closed but we managed to have a few meals in the Pennine Inn and the Mango Tree in KS. Overall a lovely break and I would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a large group.

Fenham Barn is a fantastic building. Over 3 floors with 3 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms, a lounge with wood burner fire and a really spacious kitchen & dining area, it is a perfect place for a large family break or holiday. The area is quiet and peaceful, rural and pleasant, a great place to base, go out and explore. The owners have provided just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. A minor negative is that due to being fairly remote telephone and Internet signal is weak. However, the whole experience is such that not having Internet connection encourages exploration and quality family time. We were 8 adults, 2 children and an infant and it was ideal. Lots of space and despite its size was very cosy too. Would highly recommend staying at Fenham Barn The Gawthrop Family
