As first impressions go, I can say this site is not bad at all. Main points I personally noted about the site are (and by no means are these all negative, just my observations. This is also based on my visit some months ago during mid-2022): Safe zone - The safe zone is very close to the main road, a few seconds drive down a dirt track. The car park however is practically non-existent. You literally park in the safe zone, with some places to park very nearby. Apart from that, there's nowhere else to park, not on the track for sure as it's only single lane. You could potentially park in the nearby pub car park, however I don't know if the pub allows this? During my visit I was early enough to park in the safe zone, which did have a problem of if you wanted to leave it wouldn't be easy as other cars would likely need to move. I feel like this was the biggest criticism I have with the site, and meant that it really couldn't suitably accommodate no more than 10-15 vehicles at best. - There were minimal seating/tables, nothing undercover, so you'd need to bring your own. There was a fire barrel, which was interesting, felt more like a little camp site. Toilets were a wooden hut, no running water, there was however paper and water bottles to use for manually flushing as it were, and hand cleaners. All this being said, as I look at their Facebook page at the time of writing (they have no website) it seems they've made a few changes to the safe zone and game areas, so my specifics may have changed slightly since my visit. They sold hot food and the included lunch was pretty good for what you got. If I recall you receive a choice of drink, chocolate, crisps and a cheeseburger too. The site is family run, and honestly was quite welcoming, especially the older gent who I can't remember the name of, he talked to our small group for quite some time. Game Area I would class this as quite a small site, if the parking was a hint to go by, and to me felt a little bit too overgrown. I think there's a fine line between woodland being woodland and it just being left unmaintained, and we felt it was the latter. There were however quite defined game areas with structures and objects, and games that for the most part worked quite well. Community/Marshals I try to steer clear from judging a site by its players, as it's usually something a site can't control. Nevertheless, I personally didn't experience any problems on the day, nothing too bad at the very least anyway. I think with the site being quite small and probably mostly quality regulars, both hit taking and the marshalling was decent. The quality of marshalling is a big problem with the majority of sites these days, but can't say that was an issue here, even with only a few marshals in attendance. Overall then, the site's biggest problem is its lack of parking space. Although the owners probably don't claim to be a big site nor want to be one, it can be off-putting knowing this, especially if you wanted to visit with a lot of people. Apart from that, with the friendly staff to the pretty decent lunch included, it's definitely a site to give a go.
