Unusual tree. Easily missed when you speed past at 50 mph. Mark Guy (reviewing here) suggests someone must be regularly trimming it - yep - someone must be doing that! Perhaps a nearby farmer or landowner. It is a bit occluded by all those speed signs etc.

The Table top tree has been maintained by someone for as many years as I can remember passing it. (50 years ?). For many years it was labelled with a hanging sign. In recent years the table top has gradually got thicker. Perhaps someone has taken over trimming it. ? I understand it to be a Hawthorne tree, often called a May Tree.
