Chiswick is spoiled for choice when it comes to bike shops, but I'd suggest your search will end with LCW. Friendly and helpful staff, great value for money and a speedy turn-around. These are the kinds of shops that thoroughly deserve our support.

Walked in today with broken pannier rack on the back. Was looking for advice but David took it upon himself to fix it. He grabbed some bolts and had it better than it was in 10 mins. Have used this shop in the past when my bike has needed work and always find the customer service is above and beyond. Dont really experience anything like it anywhere else so have to give the lads a positive shout out here. Thank you.

Tl:dr; poor communication, poor customer service, focus on upselling new parts for the bike rather than customer's safety on the road. Would recommend against getting your bike fixed / serviced here. I required a commuter service for my road bike. When I brought the bike to the shop I made clear I just wanted a service and that I would replace brake pads myself. Guy in the shop started off by saying the cassette likely needed replacing then trying to get me to buy new bar tape which wasn't essential. I also clarified that the chain was new and didn't need replacing and said not to replace the cassette as I was on a budget so could do this at a later point if needed . They told me the bike would be ready to collect Monday afternoon. On Monday I planned to leave work early to pick up the bike. I phoned them to check as I didn't hear anything. Apparently ball bearings needed replacing and they needed to order the parts in, so I would have to wait another two days for the bike. They didn't consider to contact me to let me know! I pick up the bike on Wednesday. I notice cycling home that the front disk rotor is still grinding and not fixed. The bike isn't road worthy so I am unable to use it to get to work whilst there is a tube strike on. I go back on Friday (a week without being able commute on the bike). They then say the front rotor needs replacing. They never decided to communicate this with me at any point, just that it was warped and aligned as best as possible. I appreciate that I didn't want to shell out on lots of expensive replacements, but for them to return the bike in that condition after a 90 service, and not tell me the rotor needed replacing is just unacceptable. In addition, after the service there was no mention that the cassette was worn or needed replacing, confirming my thoughts about upselling from the start. Manager was unwilling to provide me with an offer for a cheaper deal on the rotor considering the inconvenience caused. I had high hopes for these guys considering the other reviews but was left sorely disappointed.

Hi, guys! I just wanted to say that I have taken many bikes to quite a few of the shops in that immediate area. And down the strip between Chiswick and Hammersmith. Some staff members are friendly, and smile. You get a welcoming feeling. But then there are those who have such a sad face. Customer service is not just how well you perform in your job in terms of selling or fixing bikes. Its also how you make the customer feel. I think thats the most important thing. At least in the beginning. Building a good relationship, together That way you have good business in the future that perhaps will last for many years. In terms of your bike shop; I have never had any issues with the bikes that I brought to you for repair or service, in terms of mechanics. And I have not seen any of my bikes damaged. This is a problem that I have had with so many shops in the area. You always have to go back because they didnt do something right. Or they have scratched up your bike frame or wheels. In the case of your bike shop; I have not had to come back to you. I have not found any damage to my frame, mechanisms or the wheels on any of my bikes after youve worked on them. In fact, Id have to say that the bikes are more often performing better after theyve been to your shop. Hey! We are not all perfect. And we all make mistakes from time to time. I see the boys in your shop working diligently. And they are very concentrated on the task theyve been given. Very focused. This is what I like to see. Whereas many places Ive been, theres alot of non professional behavior taking place. For me that gives a bad impression. So; 5 Stars to you for all your hard work and effort. Im sure we will do more business in the immediate future. Salud ROCCO PANUCCI Capo Balia Films
