OCTO Couriers

I got a chest of drawers couriered to my flat (I live on the top floor of a tenement). I ended up having to work so called and asked the delivery man to just get a neighbour to buzz them into the building and leave the chest of drawers on the landing outside of my flat door - he confirmed that was fine, thanked me for the information and then text me when the delivery was complete. Everything seemed good. When I got in from work I came to realise that they just dumped it on the ground floor next to the stairs. Didnt even attempt to take it upstairs to my door. Just lied and left. Very unprofessional.

We purchased a furniture item online and this delivery company was responsible for getting it to us. HORRIBLE. Seriously, they make excuse after excuse as to why they need to delay shipment. How does every other delivery company manage to navigate the pandemic and 'weather conditions' and this company can't? They have rescheduled our delivery 5 times making up excuses like no room on a truck, weather conditions, etc. It's clear these are amateurs and I will recommend to the retailer that they avoid this company. It's a shame we'll have a bad experience with this purchase because the delivery company is incompetent. I'm sure it stems from poor management and I recommend to the business owners to get their act together before there is no act to be had. The pandemic will weed out weak businesses like this and I think we'll all be better for it.
