Julie Ann Northamptonshire Doula

I sought out a Doula around 17 weeks of pregnancy via Kemi on Instagram and Julie Ann was my Angel that answered my call. When first speaking with her on the phone we instantly clicked and she got me. Since then she has been nothing but an absolute gem and has been there supporting me throughout my entire pregnancy. I had planned for a homebirth but ended up requiring an abdominal birth due to major placenta previa and she helped me plan for an elective caesarean, she helped conduct a birth plan, reassured me of my thoughts, feelings and helped me to seek additional support within the maternity services when I went into threatened pre-term labour at 26 weeks. She was there for me like nobody else was and provided me with links to evidence based research and followed my judgement in situations. Julie Ann supported me postnatally with breastfeeding (something I never got to do successfully with my first born) and here I am almost 7 weeks postpartum exclusively breastfeeding my daughter who was born abdominally at 36 weeks pregnant. I couldnt recommend Julie Ann enough and would consider her a friend, a confidant, an Angel, a blessing in disguise. Whether youre planning for a free birth, home birth, hospital birth, caesarean birth or needing an antenatal or a postnatal doula.. she will be there for you and the comfort she provides makes a massive difference. Thank you so much Julie Ann. You restored my faith in my OWN choices, you helped me to feel confident in my choices, you encouraged me to be me and to do what I needed to do. You provided me with support in my darkest times and was there for me, my family, my two beautiful daughters and I couldnt be more grateful.

Julie Ann has been there for my family in the months leading up to the birth of our son and more recently helping look after him on a regular basis. Her doula course was incredibly informative but most importantly it was always fun and relaxed, and no topics are off bounds. Julie Ann has been 100% reliable, professional, communicable and so warm and genuine, you really feel she is on your side. It was without a doubt the best decision hiring Julie Ann as a duola. She has made the experience more enjoyable, given me confidence to make evidence based decisions but also just to listen to and understand my body. It was also a wonderful thing to have done together with my husband and it has given him support and reassurance. Julie Ann is truly a uniquely beautiful person.

I had the most amazing experience with Julie-Ann as our doula. I became pregnant 7 months after a c-section and was determined to have a physiological birth. Julie-Ann was so supportive and knowledgable. I ended up having the most perfect homebirth turned freebirth. There were no midwives available on the day but we had the conversation with Julie-Ann about supporting freebirth if that was to happen and she was confident and happy to support. If we have any more babies, Julie-Ann will be the first we call to be on our team. Thanks Julie-Ann xxxxx

Julie is just amazing. From her knowledge of birth rights to her unwavering support without bias or judgement, every inch of her being is golden. When I was starting in birth work Julie wrapped her arms around me, giving advice, support and a listening ear even when I didnt know I needed it. Shes intuitive, knowledgable and a fierce advocate. She does all this with honesty, integrity and a sharp sense of humour. If you are looking for a mentor or a birth supporter who will fiercely support all of your choices and defend them if needed then Julie is your woman. Im so grateful to have her in my circle
