Abacus Garage Doors

Extremely poor company. We wanted a new garage door and asked Abacus to come to see us. They seemed professional and they even managed to get us to buy a top of the range Ryterna door as they told us about the 10 year guarantee and what a good product it was. The door was very expensive but we felt reassured by the quality and that Abacus would look after us if anything went wrong. Within two years the colour faded dramatically. The door looks awful. Abacus have seen photos and agree the door should not have faded. Ive spent the last 18 months contacting Abacus with no luck. They want nothing to do with us, Ive invited them to come out and look at the door on multiple occasions and they refuse stating its the manufacturers responsibility, they send very rude emails to me or ignore me altogether. We only live down the road but no one will even come out and see us. We spent a huge amount of money on this door (at the recommendation of Abacus) and feel absolutely let down that they wont even come out to see it or put the issue right or speak to us about it. Ive told them that the Consumer Rights Act states our contract is with them but they simply ignore us.

Excellent service from Abacus again. We had a new garage door and electric operator fitted a few years ago and now we have had a beautiful composite front door fitted. The team at Abacus are very efficient and we are delighted with the service and our new door. Thank you!

Apart from the 3 week lead time to get anything done post lockdown, they blatantly lied to me about repair being uneconomic. I was told the hexagonal motor axis had twisted. It hadn't. Then that the white plastic motor axis rings that attach the door clamps wouldn't fit. Definitely the case when you try and fit 70mm ones to a 75mm axis! Then they just walked away. Post lockdown, profits need to be maximimised, that means every problem has only one solution- a new set of garage doors!!!

Very efficient and courteous. Sorted out problem quickly, tested everything in presence of customer and quick to respond to quote for potential additional work, regrading replacement front door. Good job well done.

Abacus were recommended to us and didnt disappoint. They were very helpful during the selection process and the installation went well, with the fitters working in a tidy and efficient manner. The installation looks very good and the roller door looks great and makes access to the garage from the outside so much easier than the old up and over door. All in all a good experience.
