Florence House Residential Home

We moved my grandmother to Florence House from another nursing home just under a year ago, and Florence House was most certainly Home from Home. The care my grandmother received was nothing short of exceptional, even on her most difficult days. The staff were faultless with an amazing understanding that not everyones needs were the same! The care and love my grandmother received during her time at Florence House was more than we could have ever wished for. And in the last few months of her life the palliative care the team gave her was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they always treating her with respect and dignity, and as a family it gave us great peace of mind.

Warm friendly cosy happy clean. Delightful care home! Residents were a credit to the home . Friendly Chihuahuas allowed which made my visit complete.

If you ever imagine your perfect care/retirement home I am sure it would feature warm and welcoming staff who are efficient and kind, home cooked well presented meals, comfortable beds and chairs and the realisation that your needs are being met and the staff are there to help you. If these are your wishes then look no further than Florence House, Ramsey. This small (twenty rooms) is a family run home where their motto should be "We will try our best to meet all your needs and requirements". My husband and I went there on an emergency basis. I was his full time carer and had fallen and fractured my knee. Our son found Florence House and despite our sudden arrival my husband's favourite drink, Diet Coke, was already on hand for him. I followed a day later and was truly touched with how kind and gentle the staff were with handling my leg. I must add that behind this warm atmosphere there is a very well run business. Doctors are called in when necessary, prescriptions are collected, medicines are strictly distributed and on my several hospital appointments ambulance transport was arranged and when I returned to Florence Hose I was met with an offer of coffee or a sandwich if I had missed lunch.
