For competitors it's a severe challenge with a tough 1 in 4 section.
For photographers it's an easy event to cover, as it's slower than road racing. Just take a mid telephoto, and work at around 1/500 or pan in the shaded area.
The church at the top of the hill is open for refreshments.
Park up on the road to Helmshote well in advance if watching the event. Set aside around 3 1/2 hours to watch the whole event including finding the best spot on the course and the presentation at the end
