Harriet is an outstanding music teacher. My daughter has been having piano lessons with her for 2 years and we are impressed with her progress. She has also just recently achieved Distinction for her grade 5 Theory exam which Harriet coached her for. My daughter knew very little theory, but Harriet's patient and calm approach, as well as thorough teaching meant my daughter felt well prepared and confident in the exam. My daughter loves her piano lessons and we are so grateful to Harriet for all her hard work and dedication.

After many years as a self taught songwriter I was finding that Id plateaued. My piano accompaniment and lack of music theory knowledge was making the process of writing and playing ever more frustrating. I then sought out someone who could help me reconnect with my music, Harriet was that very person. Harriet understood exactly where I was coming from and tailor made my lessons around the skills I needed to develop to get back on track. Her music knowledge is excellent aind her ability to apply that to my songs and style of writing has been transformative. In addition my piano playing is finally starting to get where I need it to be to help breathe some life into my songs - god knows they need it! A great tutor....

I can honestly say that Harriet is the best music teacher Ive ever had. Even after just my first half-hour lesson with her it was already clear that she is an extremely gifted pianist with a wonderful way of teaching. I had been out of lessons for around 7 years when I went to her so my technique definitely needed lots of work, and she managed to get me a distinction in all the exams I took: ABRSM Grade 3 & Grade 5 Piano (145/150), along with nearly full marks in Grade 5 Music Theory. She has a particularly good ear for dynamics and will definitely help take your playing to the next level. Her friendliness and encouragement make the lessons an absolute pleasure, and she creates a learning environment that both puts you at ease and pushes you to play well. Enjoyment is definitely the most important part of learning to play an instrument, so finding a teacher like Harriet made my passion for music so much stronger. If youre looking for a piano teacher, she is 100% the one to go for!
