Midwife For Life

We approached Rachael at Midwife for Life about half way through our pregnancy for hypnobirthing and ante natal support and it was the best thing we did in preparation for our baby arriving! Rachael was able to really tailor our course to our needs and covered off the silly questions we had with such empathy and knowledge that we knew we were in safe hands. Our favourite part was using playmobil to show us what a theatre set up could look like should it be needed and made us understand the roles played by each medical professional we went on to meet in the later stages of pregnancy and labour. My husbands favourite part was learning how he could be an active participant in the labour, and how he could support me best - this was amazing on the big day as we really could work as a team and I felt that he was able to speak on my behalf so I could focus on labour itself! Thanks to Rachaels teaching, we had a really positive birth experience despite it being, on paper, a difficult one with some unexpected complications. We were able to make informed choices thanks to what we had discussed with Rachael in the previous weeks.
