        Tucked away, surrounded by shrubs and trees find this (replica) memorial and plaque unveiled in 1985 replacing the controversial original erected by the anti-vivisection movement and then removed in 1910 after a hullabaloo, intense publicity and the disfigurement, part demolishing of the original statue by medical students. Still controversial and perhaps wisely tucked away beside the English Garden as a mute reminder to the ongoing heated controversy surrounding animal rights.
