Confused why this is a 4-star hotel. The lobby was disgusting and smelled like a public toilet, had dirty tissue from the toilet on the floor in front of the elevator. There was a dirty mop and bucket left in the halls just waiting to be tripped over. Rooms are not at all as clean and sleek looking as they are in the pictures, the shower had knobs missing and mold. Walls had grease marks on them, the fridge was run down and grubby, you get cleaner fridges in student accommodation, and to top it off, you get given fairy liquid that has been watered down with stale water so much that youd actually be dirtying the dishes further by using it. Staff argued with us over how we were paying even when we called and asked if we could pay cash and they said yes, they try and force you to pay the deposit (that they spring on you when you arrive) by card, perhaps so they can take their time giving it back based off other reviews. And dont be even 10mins late checking out because they will take a fee without a doubt.

Situated conveniently on the edge of Battersea park with a 10 min walk to the tube, regular buses right outside and a few shops, bars and restaurants/takeaways nearby, I think some of the reviews of this place may be a little harsh, or the place has improved since then. We were greeted with a warm welcome and told multiple times the deposit can take a long time to be returned. Because we had read the terms when booking, we were aware a deposit was required. Ours was actually returned within 8 days, when we were advised much longer. Nice clean room (room 212), nothing fancy but the price does reflect this. Convenient usb sockets next to the bed, smart TV, kettle, fridge, microwave, iron, hairdryer and free coffee/tea provided. Comfy bed and blackout curtains resulted in a good night's sleep, and the waterfall shower was very refreshing. Only knocked off a star because some areas did require attention, like a patch of wallpaper peeling up and some grout needing a touch up but honestly for the price I'd say this was great value. If you're expecting fancy, it's probably not for you. But if you want a cheap night for a gig/show or a work event, I'd highly recommend this place. Walkability: Close walk to Battersea park and tube station nearby

Stayed due to working in the market. They charge you 100 as a deposit for room damage which isn't mentioned until you get to the desk! Then the fire alarm was going off in the evening (probably someone smoking in their room) which is incredibly disturbing, some man stood at the panel pressing reset every time it went off. Avoid this place like the plague. Also don't stay on the ground floor as you'll hear every man and his dog walking through and the reception music all night due to the echoy space. My choice was either a room on 2nd floor with a broken TV or the ground floor! Emailed to ask for some compensation for a terrible night and they ignored of course.
