They advertise opening time 8 am on monday was there this morning at 840 and was closed waste of time

Very rude, unprofessional and unknowleageable manager. Purchased a bottle of spiced rum a few days ago as a present and my friend said that she does not like it. So I was in M and S 10 minutes ago and the manager did not even look at it properly as it is unopen and said with a superior attitude than won't take it back because it s a food item. Is a spirit drink and never before I have been refused to refund spirits at any other supermarket in the past. I read the terms and conditions and it does not mention that you cannot return spirits. I have spent thousands of pounds with M and S and never experienced such a bad customer service like today from anyone working for M and S. Apparently the standards have dropped in the Colindale store. No problem, I will go shop elsewhere.
