Golden Dragon Colindale

This place is usually my go to for a nice dim sum lunch with my family or friends but not anymore. Im always happy to wait for a table anywhere when its busy, not a problem. Today we were first given a massive table for a small group of us (which would make it hard to pickup food or converse) despite there being so many other smaller tables, so we said well happily wait a little longer for a smaller table. Again we were given the same massive table despite there being smaller tables empty and when one of us asked if we were able to take one of the smaller tables or choose our table she was met with the answer no and a lot of attitude. Fair enough if its a rule that customers cant choose tables when its super busy and thats the only table left, but there were multiple tables empty with only us and one other family of 3 waiting. The part I have the biggest problem with is when one of us walked away due to the hostesses extremely impolite manner which had been shown pretty much as soon as we rejected the first table, she continued to yell very loudly at the rest of our party do you want the table or not Im giving it to you why is she mad, Im letting you sit take the big table or dont eat Ive worked customer service in the past and this is definitely not how to do it. You do not yell at your customers and make a scene especially not in front of other guests. Its ill mannered and uncalled for. Its such a shame because the food is good but I have never been treated in such a condescending and disgraceful way by a restaurant staff where Ive had to physically get up and leave.
