I've been training with James at simple sessions through the online app for the past 12 weeks. In that time time I've managed to knock nearly 6 minutes off my 5km time. I have a pretty busy and chaotic life with 12 month old twins and a teenager, along side returning to work after maternity leave. James managed to program 3 strength sessions and 2 runs around a pretty tight day to day schedule. He is brilliant at what he does, very knowledgeable, flexible and easy to communicate with. It's great to be getting good quality sessions in without feeling beat up or fatigued when chasing after two babies. Lots of progress in a short amount of time, thanks to decent programming.

I hired James to help me do a six week cut in advance of a wedding I was attending. For me it was a bit of fun trying to get in the best shape possible over a short period of time without sacrificing too much of my happiness in the process. James was fantastic. He started off going through what I enjoyed and disliked at the gym and came up with a program that was varied enough to keep me interested while still having repeated exercises that allowed me to track my progression throughout the weeks, all while still putting in some extra fun exercises and challenges to keep me interested. All my workouts were planned out well in advance so I could look at what was coming up ahead and be flexible with when and in what order I was doing them. The feedback James provided was clear and timely and I could see real progression in my lifts throughout the weeks after implementing his advice. Nutrition wise I was using myfitnesspal to track my calories and protein intake to ensure I was keeping the calories low enough to be in a deficit and the protein high enough to make best use of the work I was putting in at the gym. I also got a dexa scan with myvitalmetrics in London at the beginning and midway through my cut to track my progress and saw that in the first three weeks Id managed to lose 2.5kg of fat whilst also putting on 500g of muscle, so we were obviously doing something right! Even though I was being strict with the calories, I was able to be flexible enough to still have meals out with friends, have a glass of wine and even go out for a couple of pints. Being able to push and pull the calories around the week was really helpful and allowed me (with a bit of planning) to balance my diet with my social calendar.

I have been working with James for over 8 weeks now. I am not an overly sporty person and haven't been in such training before. So, I was a bit sceptical about what I can achieve, plus starting such a thing online was also a bit of a concern for me, whether I would be able to keep my motivation ongoing. In the end things worked out really well! The programme James and I worked together are exactly what I was looking for, focusing on strength, getting stronger, flexibility and while doing this getting into shape and losing weight (I lost around 6-7 kg). Communication from James is great, feedback is timely, programme is designed based on my ability but at the same time pushing me to progress in an engaging and motivating way. Probably for the first time in my life, sports and exercise has a significant "enjoyment" element attached to it. I would strongly recommend.

I've been doing the Simple Session programme for 1 month now and I love it. The varied workouts stop me from becoming bored and I like that the online system helps me keep track of my progress, progress which I am already seeing! I also like that on rest days there are mobility sessions to do, these have helped me massively (I don't remember ever being able to touch my toes, but I can now!!). James has been really helpful in finding alternative exercises for me due to injury and is always contactable through the online programme - I'd 100% recommend.

I have been using Simple Sessions for over a few months now and honestly very impressed with everything As a Personal Trainer myself, staying on a routine was always something I was bad at, having simple Sessions with it's daily exercises and routines makes it easy for me to know what to do and more importantly easier to stay motivated and consistent. Highly recommending to those who need a plan and a simple guide.
