The little turkish boys that work here love to drool over pretty women, but love to make you feel overpowered when you go in there. Many people call that racism, but I think it's deeper than that. Many turkish men I've spoken to have an inferior complex and a very sensitive ego, so it's no wonder they behave like that. They also take after their dads and uncles. I also think turkish people have low status in the UK. I remember one of them in here saw me with my Asian ex, looking so surprised - little did he know that I am mixed with Asian. I remember going in there with a Romanian/Albanian guy and as they look more turkish the men in the shop are extra nicer, thinking they have more of a chance with you. Their mentality is so backwards, but if you confront them they'll always pretend.

Decent enough shop located right there on Mare Street. Has most of the stuff a person might need for day to day needs. Pretty average prices. They dont have a huge selection of beer but they do have a few crafty offerings on top of the usual macro brewery fare. Not too far of a walk from Hackney Central.
