I checked the website before phoning at 6.15pm on Monday ( they are open until 8pm) to make an appointment. I was ' first in the queue ' and continued to hold for 9 minutes before giving up . Called the next day and requested an evening appointment ,. They no longer have evening appointments , probably why noone was there to answer the phone. Inconveniently , I have a job, so requested the latest possible appointment which is 5.30. Soonest I can see a doctor at this time is 22nd October - 2 weeks from my call. Receptionist kindly listed the appointments I couldn't have as they were already booked .

We've been with Park House for 2 years now and decided to leave due to a mostly negative experience. The service we've had ranged from passive-aggressive to open hostility by both admin and GPs. The receptionists are habitually unpleasant, impatient, and will make every simple request difficult. From the GPs expect to tolerate domineering and cold treatment. Don't expect any one of them to get back to you on the phone when they say they would. I would especially not recommend any of the doctors to treat babies and children. They are harsh and ungentle with a markedly old-fashioned 'childish' approach where micro-aggressions towards children go unoticed: They physically restrain children to examine them as a matter of course, rather than approach the child with kindness and respect, explain what's going to happen and obtain the child's cooperation. Instead of improving their interpersonal skills, it's quite normal for them to hold down a screaming frightened child. The positive: You can get an urgent appointment on the same day if you phone early enough, and regular appointments within a couple of weeks. Nurses appointments have markedly better kinder service.

Awful practice. Reception are unfriendly, the facilities don't feel clean and there has only been one GP I felt confident in over the 3 years I have come here, and she seems to no longer be a part of the team.

I was seen by Joanne Crowley today. She was personable, professional and very knowledgeable even when I enquired about something not necessarily within her area of expertise (she referred me to thr right contact). She didn't rush me out and had patience while I asked several questions. Joanne is a credit to the NHS!

I have been a patient for more than 25 years and although the reception staff, with 1 exception, are not the best, I have always been happy with the good level ov medical care I have received. I see someone has remarked negatively about the nurse. The regular nurse at the surgery is first rate and highly professional.
