Denwell Joinery

I approached Denwell to make me some bespoke furniture for my living room. I had an initial discussion with their extremely pleasant director Dan and the designs were drawn and a plan and price agreed. I was happy with the price and the timescales mentioned so the work proceeded. During the making of the furniture I had constant dialogue with Dan and their other director Mark to ensure the unit was as discussed. Using their joinery/furniture knowledge and experience they even suggested some potential improvements, these suggestions were gladly received and many were incorporated. The final products were delivered on time and to great quality (to be honest they surpassed my expectations) Would definitely use Denwell again if I needed any further bespoke furniture. Thanks guys!

We appointed Daniel Bowden and Mark Powell of Denwell Joinery for work on a couple of our new branches in London. The job was a large contract and Denwell were contracted to produce large bespoke desks, customer displays, internal woodwork on walls and display items as well as various other items. Unfortunately the jobs were carried out to a very poor standard and there were many issues along with huge delays. The delays were over 6 months of delivery and the poor standard of work was visually obvious with woodwork cracking, items not being held and fixed correctly posing health and safety concerns, desks falling apart and most shockingly items not being made correctly more than 3 times in some instances and having to go back and forth. On top of all this nearly 3 years later we have still not had remedy to the issues and are waiting for outstanding items to be delivered. Daniel and Mark have constantly made excuses and avoided phone calls and have sent messages to say that family illnesses are to blame and the last message a year ago was to say that the company is financially unstable and that they cannot afford to operate as they do not have any money. This is clearly not true as they are still in business and continue to take on jobs from customers and their money without delivering. We will now be pursuing this matter through the correct legal channels however, this review is a warning to anyone thinking of spending money with this firm and its Directors Daniel and Mark, as you will not get what you ordered or your money back. They will avoid your calls, emails and messages and make excuses without owning up to their responsibilities.
