Food & drinks: My wife and I had 3 very enjoyable courses this evening. The whitebait and the salt & pepper squid starters were both very good with the latter being way better than many other places that trend to serve overcooked scraps of squid tentacles. This portion of 'proper' squid was cooked perfectly. Our mains (Steak & Kidney Pie for me and Mozarella Fishcakes for my wife) were eaten enthusiastically, with the plates left completely clean. We should probably have stopped then but, instead, we both had a slightly unusual but nonetheless enjoyable Sticky Toffee Pudding. In essence, fairly simple dishes but with good ingredients and cooked well. Very good value.
