        I purchased what was advertised as a replacement remote for the 83i radio. This was quite expensive at 20 with postage. However what I received was a 93i remote. This mostly works with the 83i, but to get the volume control to work, you have to use "Alarm" and "Preset" buttons which I figured out by trial and error. None of this is made clear on the website, it implies you are buying an 83i remote and there is nothing to tell you this, or about the workaround. On enquiry I was informed they no longer make 83i remotes. Overall, disappointed that a reputable merchant could deliberately mislead like this.
