The Plant Specialist

It's so nice to visit a nursery selling well looked-after plants in great condition, and where the plants are the focus. The whole place is immaculate. This is certainly the best place for plants I've visited in years and I'll definitely be back.

I have been buying plants from this nursery for about 3 years now, different types for both full sun and shade, grasses, and Dahlias. They have all done exceptionally well, even though Ive hardly planted them in ideal conditions. Most of my garden was water-retentive, heavy clay. Even so, the plants from The Plant Specialist have done well from their first year. I would say that the plant selection includes both popular, well known varieties, as well as lots of unusual ones. I have been inspired to try out lots of new plants because of how handsome they look in their pots when I visit. Pictured below are: - two Heleniums Moerheim Beauty, in their second year, - a Cynara cardunculus, planted about a year prior, - a Dahlia 'Verrone's Obsidian', planted 2 months prior. All purchased from this nursery. The prices are very reasonable, and much lower than at retail garden centres.
