elderly struggle to get any attention or call backs. Not a great service if vulnerable

Absolutely appalling - the telephone system is a joke. It takes at least an hour to get through after having selected an option even if you are doing the right thing and trying to cancel an appointment rather than just not turn up!!! When we moved into Prestwood 22 years ago the surgery was caring, efficient, friendly and everything a village Doctors should be. Now the system just doesn't work. I have no complaint about some of the Drs and nurses but most of the 'care navigators' are unhelpful, disinterested and arrogant at best if you can even get through to speak to one. Such a shame.

Speedy appointment on Friday afternoon with Alison, the lovely and very helpful Advanced Nurse Practitioner today, via 111.

It is almost impossible to get through to the surgery to make an appointment. Last time I tried it took 3 separate calls totalling 3 hours! I asked to speak to the Practice Manager but was told I had to hand in a letter which I did. Over 3 weeks later I am still awaiting a response from the PM despite chasing up a response. There is clearly an issue with either staffing levels. I worry how elderly or vulnerable patients cope. I have seen a local post this evening and realise I am not alone in my experience.
