A bit expensive for the kind of real ales you get, but the place is very nice, clean and welcoming, worth a try...

I had the best fish and chips (haddock) that I have ever had in a pub. Dessert was a delicious Malteser parfait, apparently a house speciality and I can understand why. Staff extremely friendly and keen to help. Only small criticism was the time between ordering and receiving our food when the pub was not all that busy, but worth the wait. Special bonus, dog friendly too. Well worth a visit if you are in the area - if I lived there you'd have trouble keeping me away.
