CD Paving

We contacted CD paving for a quote to replace a tatty old driveway and past it's best front garden with block paving driveway. We were taken with Patrick from CD paving as he seemed to instantly understand exactly what we wanted to be done, and how he'd get it done. He also suggested a few other creative ideas that we hadn't thought of before that would enhance the overall look of the new driveway. Now that the work is complete we can say that we're Incredibly happy with the work that was carried out, and the manner it was carried out in, from quote to finish. I've worked on a lot of sites before, and I can honestly say I've not seen many teams of contractors that are as focused, hard working and courteous as Patrick and his team. The quality of the work is fantastic and exceeded all expectations as well, and it was completed in a very timely manner with no fuss. Couldn't recommend them highly enough, and have already recommended them to our Asda delivery driver who delivered our shopping the evening the work was completed, and he couldn't stop talking about how good it looked compared what we had before, and mentioned he was looking at getting his driveway done some point soon. We moved into our first home last April and we knew in the New Year we wanted our driveway done as it was a bit tatty/unkempt/uneven and it had a unnecessarily big front garden area that needed a lot of maintenance. We wanted to remove that and extend the driveway to fit more than one car in, and just make the driveway look more presentable/smart in general. We initially had our eye on Tarmac with a block pave picture frame border right up to the garage, a nice new front wall and a smaller corner garden. CD Paving's quote was reasonable and engaged enthusiastically in my questions via email and even offered to come around again to show me samples as he said it's nothing like seeing the real thing, as they can look completely different in brochures. He mentioned he was available mid/end of Jan to start the job if we were to go ahead. After reviewing all the quotes, we decided to go for CD Paving and we're so glad we did. We couldn't believe how quick Patrick & his team got the job completed. He mentioned he would get it done in a week, and initially I thought that was optimistic, but they managed to without any shortcuts, and being efficient. Me and my wife at times were slightly indecisive in terms of colours or brick styles etc, but Patrick via email always offered his best advice and recommendations to achieve the best looking final product. When they excavated the driveway & put the footings in for the new front wall, Patrick mentioned to me that in his honest opinion what would make our driveway look more expensive is block paving rather than tarmac. I'm so glad he suggested that and we made that last minute decision as the driveway really does look the part and we couldn't imagine it being tarmaced now. Before they started the work, I marked out a shape/size for the new corner garden we were hoping for and they utilised that shape and the KL Kerbs really finished it off nicely. So now we can resoil it and put some lovely flower beds in. The new AbbeyStone front wall we're absolutely made up with as well with Indian sandstone coping on top. Also, by accident, they chipped some of next doors front wall maybe when they using the vibrating roller for the hardcore or when they knocked our original wall down, but when I mentioned it to them, they even offered to point next doors wall which we really appreciated. I couldn't fault them to be honest. They were professional, efficient, knowledgeable and we couldn't be more made up with the final result and CD Paving really transformed our driveway, made it much bigger and we'd definitely use them again.
