Barchester - Sherwood Court Care Home

The staff management and reception nurses carers and handman are absolutely amazing the care for my freind sue was outstanding we could not of wished for better care

The staff at Sherwood Court looked after my Dad in his last weeks and they were all wonderful. I wouldnt have wanted him to be anywhere else. My Mum has been a resident there for almost three years and when Dad became ill they pulled out all the stops to make a room available for him so that he could be close to his wife. This meant so much to Dad and all his family. We will always be grateful for their care and support.

When having to chose a Nursing/Care home for a relative (especially when the decision for them to be placed in one is taken out of your hands'due to the severity of my nans stroke) can be so difficult. But when me & my mum went to have a look around Sherwood court for my Nanna' we was overwhelmed with how homely' clean & cosy' and just how welcoming the staff were & the feeling we got was that they really do care. My Nan lived at Sherwood court for a few months' & even thou we was up with my nan everyday' we knew when we left at night that she was being extremely looked after. Not only my Nanna but us as a family was treated with so much respect and my Nan got the BEST care from ALL the staff. Towards the end of my Nans life' the staff were incredible! We as a family stayed over in my nans room an nothing at all was to much trouble. They had organised sandwiches to b brought up for us so we had eaten' & the cookies they make re out of this world! They made sure my Nan was comfortable and wasnt in any pain and even thou the staff knew it was a difficult time an let us be' we knew that they was ALL there for not only my nan but for us a family. We sadly lost my nanna on 20th December 2022 & The kind words an the feeling of having an extended family & how even after my nan had passed an was still treated with so much dignity an the fact they allowed us to stay with my nan until it was time for th funeral directors to take her gave us so much comfort. We as a family can't thank everybody at Sherwood court enough for what you did for My nan. we will forever be grateful & I would highly recommend this home from home to everyone who has to make that decision xxx

Would highly recommend this care home .My mother has only been here a few weeks and the staff are Amazingly supportive. Management /Nursing/carers/Domestic/Entertainment/ Maintenance/ kitchen and everyone else involved in the day to day running of the place always giving 100% constantly. The home has a very welcoming atmosphere and both residents and families get treated with respect .Nothing is ever to much trouble and they will always go the extra mile to help in any way .it realy is like a home from home ... Big thanks to all staff at sherwood court x .

My mum was a resided at Sherwood for a few month until the Glenroyd became available in Blackpool. Sadley my mum passed away on the 2nd June in Blackpool with her family. I just want to thank you all at Sherwood, staff were amazing and my mum was treated with dignity and respect throughout her stay. Thank you Lynn for your kind words, sharing your special memories karaoke and long chats with my mum. I would recommend the Sherwood. Kind regards Kathleen W
