What an outstanding nursery, I highly recommend it. They pack the days full of fun activities for the kids, which are geared towards their development. Our daughter's language skills have come on in leaps and bounds, and she has great manners which is down to nursery. The staff are amazing and always surprising us with little thoughtful extras. So glad we chose here for our daughter, and we've already got a place reserved for our second who's not been born yet!

My little boy has been at Poppy and Jack's for a year now, and he's amazingly happy there. His development is ahead of targets, his face in the morning when he asks if he's going to nursery, we know we made the right choice. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Kids planet took over in January and run this place into the ground. Staff turnover is horrendous. A different staff member every day, giving no continuity for the children. As such, theres no formal tracking of education and no feedback of progress. To the extend you question if they are doing any education or is it a glorified baby sitting service.and an expensive one at that, especially as the first thing Kids Planet did on take over, was to hike up the price considerably. This was especially hard to take, as the quality of service declined significantly. The food menu went from being freshly cooked, nutritionally beneficial and plentiful. To the whole class sharing food such as a pizza everyday. We feel like Kids Planet attempted to con us out of money, along with all of the other parents. Each month, they would include a 50 charge on our invoice. Wed paid thinking the pupil premium was part of the payment. When I queried the manager on the charge, I was informed at first that it was to buy extra resources and food. When I asked her why someone attending two days was being charged the same as someone five days, the manager had no answers. I was then told by HQ that it was a voluntary payment each month. I felt this was a deliberate attempt to make extra money whilst deceiving the parents. After an exchange of emails and a threat of legal action, I was reimbursed. Luckily for us, our son was in his final months of pre school and felt it would have been more damaging for him to move nurseries. We reduced his hours to an absolute minimum. I would avoid Kids Planet at all costs!!!

Firstly I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone. Having a daughter with special needs meant finding the right nursery was crucial, i visited a few local nurserys to find the right one from shiny new all singing and dancing nurserys to small setting nurserys. When I visited poppy and jacks everyone was so warm and welcoming and it was a lovely relaxed setting. They seemed to have more staff per child and everyone was busy playing and entertaining the children in the open plan rooms and out doors. They had everything the big new nurserys had but I found that because this was a smaller setting that they were more involved and the children weren't left to there own devices. This was crucial as my daughter with special needs who plays happily on her own could of been left out a bit at the big nurserys and when she first started at poppy and jacks she couldn't walk. This was no problem for the staff and from then on have really made an effort with Olivia in every way it is like one big family there which is brilliant. All the staff have a great understanding of Olivias and the few other children with special needs that attend poppy and jacks. A the staff have training and one member of staff has all the training and does all the extra things that are needed for special needs children, she also has a child with special needs so I knew olivia would be understood, and she is by every member of staff there. When i visited other nurserys they didn't seem to have any training or do extra paperwork and envolvment with the educational specialists that special needs children receive. They get all the children together and envolved in everything. Olivia loves it there as do all her friends that attend there. Plus the food that they provide is amazing and is always eaten all up everyday. The staff are very accommodating as well and really do very well with every child to teach them and do all the key skills as well as having lots if fun. I cant thank them enough for what they do there. I highly highly recommend poppy and jacks nursery for every child special needs or not.

Our little one has been attending this nursery for over 12 months now, and we're so glad as he's come on leaps and bounds in this time. He always looks forward to going; enjoying the wide range of activities, great food, and is very fond of the staff too. Hayley and her team work tirelessly to provide such a quality learning environment for the youngsters. They've been of great support to us too, as we're caring for vulnerable children; going out of their way to support and guide us through our early days. I am very impressed with the level of experience, commitment and enthusiasm of all the staff, which shines through. They've had to adapt quickly to the issues that come with dealing with COVID. We've been kept well informed of any measures being introduced. The way in which they've dealt with COVID has been very clever, as the measures that they've put in place protect the children, but don't in any way impinge on the "having fun whilst learning" ethics. Highly recommended
