Just the best snooker tables in Lancashire. Actually I didn't want to post a review because then more folk will turn up, it'll be full of bloody people and the snooker tables will always be busy. But, as I'm a Catholic and it is my Catholic Club, here goes... First, it's massive. It is a huge venue. The function room could fit 500 folk seated at tables, has a huge stage with a light rack and its own bar. With their contacts in the community, Brownedge Catholic Club can also recommend caterers who can provide for your function. When I was a lad, just before they invented colour, I remember being in the club on a Sunday usually. We attended church at 11am as a family then went home to get changed. Then the menfolk, Father, Grandfather, Uncle Jack etc would go to the club. My brothers and I would have a coke with a straw and some crisps whilst we watching our elders play snooker and listen to the other fellas swear a lot. It was always busy. Sadly, nowadays, it is not as busy, which I truly do not understand. They have recognisable beers at club prices. They have darts, dominoes, pool, a dukebox and a bloody crowned bowling green! It has heritage, history and used to have geese too. No geese left now sadly. Anyhoo. Go to the the club, use it, meet folk, enjoy it, become a member and make it great again. Another point, I should've mentioned earlier really, is that there is never any trouble with idiots or n'eer do-wells. They are quickly convinced that this is not the place for them by the persuasion of the people. Give it go, cha.
