We went for a 2.5 weeks Umrah in March 2018 ..we asked for 5 star hotels near haramin and paid for that .... the hotel in Makkah was excellent ( Hayat Regency) ...sadly the hotel in Madinah was a disaster (dar al hijra) ...smelly rooms very dirty furniture/ carpets/ and bathrooms despite changing rooms ...hotel neglected and very bad service , we had to keep ringing to get room cleaned and even then they did a bad job ... we asked Mr Kamboli at British Hajj Travels to move us to another hotel but after promising to do so , he just ignored us ...this made our stay in Madinah far less enjoyable....it is sad that they took payment for a 5 star hotel and put us in one that we would not stay in for free. We felt cheated .
