Flexi-Orb - Flexible Energy Oversight Registration Body

Some major energy companies are still not accepting Flexi orb certificates, including Octopus who currently offer the highest rates for export when you are a customer with them. On contacting Octopus they stated "Flexi-orb havent published the standards by which they verify installers doing an install correctly, unfortunately we do not accept this in the place of an MCS certificate."

After waiting for notification from the DNO that my Solar system had been registered by my supplier/installer for over two months I phoned them to ask weather they had received the said notification as I had heard nothing, only to be told that nothing had been received from my supplier/installer, even though I had been promised that the notification had been done two months previously, After further phone calls to my supplier/installer and getting no further, I decided to go through my ADR provider, Flexi-Orb to get it sorted with my supplier/ installer. I was promised by Flexi-Orb all would be sorted within the day. 48 hours later I received the confirmation I needed from the DNO via email that my Solar system was now registered with them so all was now good. The only downfall is that Flexi-Orb are not MCS registered so are not recognised by electrical supply companies as of yet.
