Great dojo with teaching traditional karate for everyone. Worked my way from white belt to second dan black belt over several year and I have developed in confidence and sustained a good fitness level thanks to matsumura karate.

This academy has changed not only my life but my familys life too, this community is incredible and super inspiring from physical to mental. Thankyou all of you for everything. Easily the best karate school in Preston (and most likely Lancashire!) Sensei Gus Matsumura was an amazing teacher, helping me adapt from a different karate style to Shotokan, helping me understand the very basics , up to advanced techniques in a friendly yet very effective way. Not only will you gain great karate knowledge, but you will also have the pleasure of sharing a dojo with a fantastic group of karatekas who are there to help both in the training aspect of life as in personal issues. You will also gain knowledge across other martial art styles in order to perfect your self defense, vastly due to the great connections the school has to other great schools specialised in kick boxing, self defense... It's a perfect environment in which you will LOVE going to the dojo and pushing yourself to the limits with the help of extremely talented and friendly people. 200% recommended, don't miss out!
