I have just called for a quote to transport my UK registered Range Rover Sport from Spain to the UK. The lady could not have been less interested in helping me. I kept being put on hold while she spoke to her manager. I was told that the manager would call me back, at this point we had only discussed the collection point. So I felt I needed to prompt for her to take more information e.g. destination, car details etc. I was called back (by the same lady) within minutes and was advised that they could not help me as the shipment was full! When I said that I had not indicated when I wanted the shipment to take place but ideally it would be within the next two or three months, she told me that they are reviewing shipments on a weekly basis and did not know when they would be available to collect! I asked for an indication of the cost, she retorted with the cost of a dedicated transport (not requested) that was more than the cost to transport the entire contents of my 4 bedroom house. I asked about the shared transport option I was advised that the cost was based on the load volume. Clearly Anchor Vehicle Logistics do not want my business, for whatever reason but I am pleased that given the current global situation their business is going so well!
