Legacy Hotel management can you please explain the requirement for a passport on check in for international customers. You have my booking details i.e. emails, credit card etc...and I see no need for you to also retain personal information such as my passport number. No other hotel chain has requested this information and at a time where data privacy is a concern for businesses and individuals I am hard pressed to understand why the need for passport information is 'company policy according to front desk'. Should data be compromised by hackers what rectification will the hotel offer for sharing multiple aspects of an individuals personal information that is conducive to identity fraud? Additionally elevators out and need to schlep luggage up to the 4th floor. Personally after staying here a number of times in past years this will be the last visit. Dear Management I have e read your response below but ther is no option to reply but to clarify the legislation you refer to does not apply to citizens of Ireland or the Commonwealth so if you are going to quote requirements then please ensure you understand the specifics of the legislation you are quoting.
