I would love to opt out of paying into this WHS (World Health Service). It is a complete joke, Ill pay once Im seen. It would be great if we could have a National Health Service like we used to have, before the invasion.

I felt the need to write this review after I noticed all the very negative reviews below. We moved to this practice after having inadequate treatment and service from another practice in Adlington. I cannot fault them, reception staff are so helpful, will call back if they can't get an immediate answer to our questions/concerns etc. We have been able to get appointments (routine and urgent), which is something to be celebrated in current times! And it works well, if Adlington is full, they will endeavour to see you eleswhere, this is really is a USP to this practice. Have had no problem with the phone service, sometimes the queue is extremely long in the morning but it tells you where you are in the queue and you do get through eventually. All the GPs we have seen so far have been great. I have taken 1 star off as the downside to being sent to different clinics is that you don't get to know your GP - also we saw a practice nurse in Buckshaw who ended up giving us the run around as she wasn't sure of protocol when treating eye infections. We also had issues over Christmas where we couldn't get results of a urine sample for my 4 year old until 7 days later due to closure, I wondered if urine can be tested for basic infections in the surgery itself before being sent off to the hospital (this used to happen?) to reduce waiting times if there is an infection to start treatment. But overall, in difficult times with NHS services, I would recommend them.

After being referred to a nurse who supposedly dealt with menopausal issues I wasnt given any guidance or advice. Menopause is such a sensitive subject however Adele spoke to me with absolutely no compassion or empathy concerning my worries. Her blunt attitude and inability to share any empathy made me not want to try anything. I never want to have a conversation again with her.
