Bamber Bridge Conservative Club

It was a chilly afternoon when, out of the blue, an old friend collared me on the street and insisted on having a pint with me in the 'Conny'. As a brigger I have been aware of this place but rarely go in. Last time I was there I was about 14 and attending Karate lesson with Phil Handyside in the spacious first floor function room. Anyway, I digress. My friend and I went in for a pint at around 3pm Friday. The beer was fairly priced and acceptable and although we went in for just the one, five pints later I was still there and enjoying myself. The locals are very friendly and you'll always find someone to talk to. They have a pool table and a full sized, recently re cushioned and rebaized (2023) snooker table with plenty of bad players to beat! They sell the usual lagers and beers and shorts but at a cheaper price than general pubs. They have a dukebox and bandits but the big selling point is the friendlyness of the the staff and patrons, you're never alone of you don't want to be. I recommend the experience.
