Where to begin. We were fans of Oli and Matts food years ago when they were both chefs at Hipping Hall. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted them to cook for us at our wedding, and it was like fate that Foray Catering was created around that time. From the very first enquiry, Violaine was helpful, informative, responsive and helped us every step of the way with our booking. Nothing was too much to ask and Violaine would advise us when we needed help on some decisions. As we started to approach the wedding day, we were introduced to Stephen the event manager - Stephen went out of his way at every step to ensure everything went to plan and that Nick and I were happy, he too was so easy to work with, warm and professional. At the wedding tasting we met the chefs, Oli and Matt - these guys are passionate about what they do and they have taken event and wedding catering to another level. Oli and Matt are not your average wedding caterers, they are fine dining chefs and they deliver locally sourced exquisite food. Our guests were, quite frankly gobsmacked at the level of professionalism delivered by team Foray, the canaps, wedding breakfast and evening food ran like clockwork - every single member of staff was helpful and professional. Everyone has since told us again and again how much they enjoyed the food. The little touches like Foray bringing a plate of canaps just to Nick and I so we made sure we enjoyed them, really made a difference. Oli, Matt, Violaine, Stephen and the rest of team Foray - we cannot thank you enough. We so look forward to seeing you guys grow further over the coming years. Do not hesitate to book Foray as your wedding or event caterer, the level of food and service from day one far exceeds 5 stars (if only there were more to give you guys!!) Thank you again for everything.

Hi Foray gang. You asked for feedback and were happy to give it. Why did we chose you? We have experienced Olis cooking at Hipping Hall on two previous occasions and we were very impressed In addition another friend from Catforth had also recommended your catering company to us Expectations First of all we want you to know we had a fabulous evening and found all your staff delightful. Just a few comments from the Host, Alan, and some of the guests including ourselves as follows :- Alan was frustrated that the water glasses were not replenished on a regular basis throughout the meal and actually had to get up himself to do it. One of the courses (Chicken broth with large mushroom which was difficult to handle) didnt go down well with most of the guests. All other courses were excellent My wife and I were disappointed that no coffee after the meal was arranged although accepted this was not contracted. I think in future it might be a good idea to clarify coffee needs. I and several other guests and the host ended up making it! Small things I know but could be easily remedied. For example you provided a wine waiter at an agreed additional cost- Im sure the provision of a member of staff to stay until the end of the evening could also be offered by yourselves Again we want to reiterate we loved the evening and will gladly recommend you. --

Foray were absolutely amazing. I hired them for a surprise 40th Birthday Party for my husband. We had a 3 course meal, with canaps for 20 people. They came to the venue, a hired Castle in Northumberland, catered for us making the night very special. I was nervous about trying to organise a meal for so many people with various dietary requirements. They took away this hassle and helped me with my planning and choices. My husband is very particular about food and I wanted something very special that he wouldnt walk away commenting. I could have cooked better. Matt and his team didnt just deliver exceptional food, they were easy to deal with, very accommodating and down to earth. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again and they made the night extremely special.
