1 staff member serving a queue of about 10 customers, cold coffee and dirty cutlery. Very poor management.

Nice coffee and cake but sad to see a young mum and her young child turned away at 4:40pm because the cafe was closed yet the time on Sainsburys website for the cafe at Bamber Bridge says the cafe is open until 5pm. Surely the cleaning and packing away should be done then, not started at 4:30pm which is when I arrived.

Went at lunchtime today with my husband . After waiting 20 mins in the queue ( the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing ) our food arrived served by a young girl who never spoke a word even though we spoke to her . I had the Chrisymas dinner and it was nearly cold in fact the Yorkshire pudding was still frozen in the middle and my husband ham egg and chips were cold too . After spending nearly 20 I vowed never to go again which is a shame as I used to go alot whenever we came to Bsmber bridge from Southport . We didn't complain as we were in a rush and just couodnt be bothered waiting another 20 mins

I used to come here a lot but it has definitely gone downhill. The staff are friendly and did their best, but a lot of food was unavailable, e.g. bananas, carrot sticks and mash. Mash for the kids was a laugh; despite being told they weren't allowed to serve chips with kids meals.....when the food arrived, the server informed us that she had had to give the kids chips as the mash wasn't anywhere near ready to be served The trays were soaked and left in that state for people to collect, to use with their food orders. The tables all needed a clean. (A previously half-eaten breakfast was present upon our arrival and still there over 45mins later when we left - I have posted a pic of this). No shortage of staff here, I just wonder what they were all doing!

I have been here before and never been unhappy but today that changed. Had ham egg and chips and I'm not impressed. Cheap ham you can probably get for 99p downstairs in the shop. Rubbish chips and two small overcooked eggs. And to top it all of it was expensive. I'll stick to burger king across the road. However the jacket potatoes were nice so I'll give it 2 stars.
