This is split into two parts really. First, the camp site is a great location, huge space right at the foot of the White Horse and feels really like old-fashioned camping. There are a number of toilets in every field which aren't too bad. Toilet paper provided and although a big hole in the ground, the hole is so deep that it doesn't get too bad at all and they are regularly cleaned. The showers and sink units have hot running water. In fact the showers are great-lots of room to hang clothes and very powerful showers. The only drawback is what others have mentioned here. There are a few campers who really aren't considerate at all and play music late into the night and talk or sing loudly. we had this way past midnight and up to 2am so not ideal for families. Noone is keeping that in check unlike on the main site across the road. But overall, if you can bring earplugs and luck is on your side in terms of noisy neighbours, then it is decent value and relaxed. Worth a visit overall.
