Mr Jonnie Johnson would be appalled if he could see what became of his housing project. My recent(past 4 years) dealings with Johnnie Johnson housing have been absolutely shambolic, they have treated me with utter contempt. They just cannot seem to do a thing right. Firstly it took them two years to replace a rotten gate that in the end became dangerously precarious as it was heavy and no longer attached to its footings. After a visit from the laughably titled building surveyor Mike. It was determined the gate was irreparable as you could push your finger through the 2 inches of rotten timber. I was told somebody would come to measure up for a new gate that would be constructed off site. I recieved a good few phone calls from Mike assuring me he was on it. Months went by. I contacted Johnnie Johnson in the hope of expediting the process. They seemed oblivious. I was told someone would come and inspect the gate. Which they did(and already had), they said it was fine. I then spoke to Mike he once again came out and agreed a gate so rotten it is no longer attached, and so rotten you could push your finger through was far from fine. And again leave it with Mike. Months later I arrived home and noticed filler and paint all over my wheelie bin, floor(flags), and hosepipe nozzle(gun). Somebody had filled the gaping holes and painted it. I spoke to Mike he said they should not have done that and that he had asked them to measure and give a price for a new gate. But rest assured Im on the case said Mike. A few months later 3 official looking men came to measure up. After chasing Mike up with many phone calls and after 2 years to my disbelief a new gate was constructed. I couldn't help but think that the time I spent chasing Mike/Jonnie Johnson had I have worked those hours could have purchased a lovely steel gate. Around the same time the toilet upstairs developed a leak that subsequently caused water to pour through my light fitting, drip through the ceiling, and run down my hallway and bedroom walls. Waking me up one sunday morning. I contacted Jonnie Johnson a plumber was sent. Accidents happen, I redecorated. 2 maybe 3 years later I returned home from caring for my severely disabled father around 5pm to find water seeping through my ceiling and light fitting once again, also running heavily in the wall cavity soaking my carpets and walls. I Immediately knocked on the door of the flat above, nobody answered. I phoned Jonnie Johnson and as it was out of general office hours I was diverted to the emergency repairs representative I gave him all the information regarding the issue and the absence of my neighbour(the supected source of the leak). He told me a plumber would be sent. 1 hour later I recieved a phone call from said plumber he said he was setting of and would be 1 hour. Half an hour after that the plumber once again phoned me and asked if he could access my neighbours property above, I told him I hadn't been able to get a reponse at the door to which he said if he couldn't gain access then he couldn't stop the leak or turn off the water. I was aware this would be the case and said surely though one of the first priorities of the emergency repairs representative was to attempt to contact the tennant of the property of the source of the leak. The plumber said you would think so, he then said he would make a phone call and see if they had tried to make contact. They had not which both me and the plumber found perplexing. Eventually the representative made contact with the lady neighbour who was at here mothers less than 5 mins drive away at the time, she said she was going to be a few hours. The plumber then advided the representative he should phone her back and politely advise she be as quick as she possibly could. By the time she did return home and the plumber gained entry almost 5 hours had passed. I contacted Jonnie Johnson the next day I was told a dehumidifier would be sent to assist in the drying out of the carpets. I rang a few times in over the following 2 weeks. Utterly incompetent.
