Poynton Workmen's Club

Rated as a 4 because the facilities for a function or night out were great and the whole place is recently refurbished. However when we went for a live band night, the average age in the main room was 80 and the separate bar at the side was full of 18 year olds. We are something in the middle so we did a runner. However, the hairdresser swears it's a great night, so we will go back next month and give it another go.

First time visit to this venue for a blues gig. I don't know who is responsible for the cleaning, but there is thick dust behind the door into the Ladies loos and dust/fluff in all the corners. My other half told me that the Gents was very smelly. For a recently refurbished venue, it's a shame that it's let down by poor cleaners.
