Homemade scones on arrival! They were lush and very welcome after a long journey down. The views were amazing. The star gazing is insane at night. The owners were absolutely lovely and so welcoming. The children had a fantastic time running wild with our puppy the whole time we were there. All 3 in their element! The Roost cottage was lovely, clean, underfloor heating was fab too. The children loved the jacuzzi bath. Everything you needed. Washing machine and dishwasher if needed. A laundry room on site and a games room too. Feb is not the time to swim and pool not available but that was fine by us . Too cold haha! We loved seeing the animals on the farm. There was even a pottery school on site which you can book for some alternative fun on site. In terms of location, widemouth bay literally 3 mins by car and Bude was 10-15 mins depending which route you take. Tintagel was 25 mins max, Boscastle less than that and highly recommend St Nectans waterfall which is between Tintagel and Boscastle . Definitely going back as soon as we can.

Lovely place and great being around the animals. Afew things that let it down - the pool isn't heated, we went in on a hot day and were still freezing. Its not exactly a 20 min walk to the beach when you have a young child with you. Some of the walk you have to go along a road with no pavement, not ideal with a toddler. The overall cleanliness isn't too good. Cottage could do with a good clean. Needs a bit of modernising and attention to detail. The hosts were very welcoming and we still had a lovely holiday.
