Simply excellent work! Haynes Wood made a custom oak mantelpiece and 6 alcove shelves to measure. Communication was perfect, consultation I felt really well informed and able to make the right choices, turnaround time was very very quick! The fitting systems were easy and worked perfectly and the finish looks stunning. Its really made a big difference and a real feature wall in our living room. A gentleman to deal with! Highly recommended and would suggest to anyone to have a chat with him if your unsure or on the fence. After having seen Lawrence's work on Facebook, I messaged to ask if he could make a hall table. He was really helpful and helped me choose the size, stain and legs, for what I wanted. Communication was fantastic with photos from start to finish. Lawrence takes such pride in his work and loves doing what he does, which really shows in the beautiful table, he has made me. If you want an amazing piece of wooden furniture, you REALLY need to go to Hayes Wood. The first piece I wanted doing was my "Jet Blade Coffee Table" and I was really concerned that even floating the idea would raise eyebrows. My wife definitely raised her eyebrows, but Lawrence didn't have any problems at all taking on my "interesting" project idea. Following a few discussions, the design was executed with professionalism and craftmanship that is rarely seen these days. The table sits pride of place in our lounge and is something I shall cherish for all time. The second and more recent piece (in the last picture) is a piece of wall art dedicated to a certain German rock band, of whom we are serious fans. Once again, it has been made with such craftmanship that it will adorn our wall with pride for many years to come. My slight sadness is that Hayes Wood doesn't yet offer Meatballs, as this is the now the ONLY reason I go to a certain furniture retailer, as I definitely wouldn't use anyone other than Hayes Woods for my furniture needs. Lawrence is quite simply a carpenter black belt! Such attention to detail and, literally step by step process updates so we knew exactly how the piece was coming along. He made the most gorgeous side table with matching coffee table for our family and we could not find fault with anything.
