Disgusting quality of service. Stephen Holbrook who was the person dealing with my enquiry regarding permission to install an air on and place it on my balcony, hanged up on me numerous times and threatened to block my number and report me for harassment when I was calling him on normal working hours before 5pm. I bought a flat in Sittingbourne for 191,000, 3 months ago. There is a medical centre in the building with an air con unit under my flat exactly the same size and brand as I want to install but abbey refuses to give me permission to install one exactly on the same side and place of the building but on the top floor, for no real reason. Definitely someone got bribed to turn the blind eye for medical centre. They wasted 3 weeks for me waiting ad calling, emailing them every day for a response, just to tell me no. They claimed it was because of aesthetics. I fixed that by saying I'll put it in my balcony covered by bamboo sticks and now they claim something different. They say it produces as much noise as a washing machine. The specs of a mitsubishi heavy 3.5kw say 23-55dBA noise output and any washing machine produces over 70dBA. Therefore they are not even comparable at all. They just have a personal issue with me clearly. Maybe because I'm not English... Someone has broken the wall all the way through the ceiling on the hall of the second floor for a few months now and the carpet is full of dog piss and leaked garbage from bin bags but the cleaners have never cleaned it through the years from what Ive heard from other tenants, neither the development company seems to care to fix the walls and replace the carpet.

BEWARE OF ABBEY NEW HOMES!!... I purchased a house from Abbey New Homes and completed in July 2023. Since then, my experience has been nothing short of frustration, stress and pain. On the day I was handed keys to the property, the site manager took me on a tour and informed me that they have noticed that the washing machine was faulty. Upon hearing that, I immediately stressed my concern about it as I have two young children and need to wash every other day. The site manager assured me that they would replace the machine with a brand new one in a matter of days. By the time I moved in, Abbey New Homes said they cant replace the machine and that it has to be repaired. I had to wait for weeks before this was done. All this while, I was taking clothes to the local laundrette and spending huge amounts for washing. By the time the washing machine was finally repaired, it only took a wash (the next day) for the machine to break down, and in fact, it flooded my home and damaged all the clothes I put in the machine to wash. After this incident, the site team visited my house and saw the faulty machine and the damage it had caused. They then told me (and on several occasions after) that they would have to bring in another engineer to repair the washing machine, but in the meantime, they will pay for all the washing costs I will incur (as long as I keep receipts), and that they will also pay for the damage the washing machine had caused to my clothes. To cut the long story short, it took Abbey New Homes 3 whole months to finally replace the washing machine. After replacing the machine, I tendered the receipts for all the washing I had done whilst the washing machine was not working only for Abbey New Homes to turn around and say that they are not responsible for the expenses. The costs of washing came up to 516.46, whilst the cost of damaged clothes came up to 373. Total - 889.46 Abbey New Homes only offered 200, as a goodwill gesture. How insulting and demeaning. The customer service manager of Abbey New Homes, Dante La Belle, has been very unprofessional throughout. Because of his behaviour and my dissatisfaction with the resolution he has offered to me, I asked for the contact details of the Managing Director of Abbey New Homes. Bear in mind that Abbey New Homes complaint procedure states that if Im not happy with a resolution, I can ask for the contact details of the managing director. I have asked for this on 3 occasions and was blatantly denied it. BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY. It saddens me to say they are very unprofessional and deceitful. I have written to the Managing Director of Abbey New Homes (using the companys head office address) on 2 occasions and he has not bothered to respond to me. With all the suffering and stress the company put me through, I now have to explore the option of taking them to court. If you wish to buy from them, be very careful. They are very unprofessional. Make sure to record all your conversations with them, and get every little detail confirmed in writing.
