Nicely decorated and clean. Food on the pricey side and not much to offer for a light lunch.

A lovely place to have a drink with gorgeous surroundings and decor It's cosy, especially during the winter when the fire is ablaze. The large garden is very well kept and is open all year. The food is mediocre and not consistent, which is why the rating is 4.

Arrived just before 3pm - shown to our table. Eventually had to get our drinks ourselves from the bar as no service to our table. 3:20ish our order was taken. Both ordered mussels for our starter. On arrival looked lovely but once we started to tuck in we found crushed shells which ruined it completely. Main meals arrived 4:20 - 2hr table!!! roast lamb for me which looked fine and a mixed roast which was flooded in gravy which watered down the apple sauce and carrot and swede mash, minus pork crackling and stuffing. Manager insisted stuffing did not come with this particular roast dinner which we were able to prove wrong by showing her the online menu. Having been here previously we were extremely disappointed this time round with both the service and the food on this occasion and will definitely not be coming back. We ended up having to find elsewhere to eat.

Solid pub with amazing decor and even more amazing roast dinners. Not many places offer you the chance to have multiple meats, but they have an incredible mixed meat (beef and pork), with some of the best porchetta I've had. All very tasty and filling, with the traditional selection of keg and cask beers on offer. A big garden area makes it a place I will surely visit in the summer.

The food was really good, I loved the garlic bread. Services was ok, I can't complain just felt a bit under staff, we need the waitress a couple of times and we had to wait a bit. A bit expensive but with this price increase it is difficult everywhere it is difficult to say. In general good experience and good food. I will come back when I back in the area
