My CRV went in for a gearbox service as per manufacturer maintenance schedule at the Portsmouth branch. This wasnt cheap due to the cost of the fluid that my car uses and dealerships being notorious for being expensive ! However I wanted my car to be seen by a trusted main dealer for peace of mind. Unfortunately this didnt live up to my expectations. On collecting my car , it was absolutely filthy inside and outside ! No complimentary car wash while it was there after spending good money ? It also became apparent while driving away that my gear changes were really harsh and much worse prior to Honda working on it ? Im baffled that this wasnt picked up on by the technician ? I now have to fork out more money to visit a local independent garage to look into this for me. I like a lot of people , purchased a Honda because of its reliability and excellent customer service but this experience has fallen way short of what I had hoped.

I have been disappointed by Hendy two years running now. My Civic had a flawless MOT history until I owned it, having been serviced and tested at other Honda sites in previous years. Both times I have taken my car to Hendy I have specified that I wanted the service carried out before the MOT to avoid any failures or advisories. The first year it was picked up on windscreen wipers, but it didn't fail. This should have been noticed during the service, but it wasn't. First advisory in the cars life. Never mind, mistakes happen. Last MOT and service, they put the car in for test BEFORE the service and it failed on anti roll bar linkage ball joint dust covers. I was unhelpfully sent a video pointing out their poor condition after the MOT had taken place. The parts were not cheap, but the work was done to a good standard to be fair. I only went through with the work as the car was with Hendy at the time. I will be taking the car to an honest local garage in future that actually services the car before the MOT as per my request. Two years running, same issue with Hendy! Disappointed is an understatement.

I didn't buy anything today but had a very nice experience with Darren! He was very helpful and insightful and really stood out compared to other dealers we have visited.
