        My husbands sister and brother in law have recently moved to this lovely new development and seem to be enjoying it thoroughly. Great proximity to shopping, restaurants and seaside walks. The best western hotel is one bloc away conveniently for guests who want something a bit more than the basic guest accommodation that the tudor rose offers. We enjoyed morning walks to the nearby southsea rose garden, the swan paddling canoe lake, and the seaside path.

        NOBODY in Portsmouth wanted this; locals opposed this so strongly that petitions objecting its construction received thousands of signatures. Even the local council said 'No' to it however the shameful & disgraceful McCarthy & Stone went to the UK planning inspectorate and had the decision overturned using misleading information. We're now stuck with an ugly, inappropriate eyesore that is not in keeping with local architecture and is a blight on our otherwise beautiful seafront. All the while McCarthy & Stone milk their profits.
