        This very large fort is now coming into greater usage,and its vital importance in defending Portsmouth can be appreciated,when old photos show Royal Marines there right up to the 1970s with driver training and a photo & art and display dept

        The Fort is a fantastic place to visit if you get the chance. Historic England are doing some fantastic conservation work and will hopefully overtime open the complex up to the public.
