Patisserie Valerie - Portsmouth (Gunwharf Quays)

Nice place. The staff were kind and helpful. I had the afternoon tea order it was very delicious. Cant wait to come back again.

Ordered coffee 20 minutes ago! Still waiting despite asking why it is taking so long. Not impressed as they are not particularly busy.

We brought brought friends to Gunwarf Quays and stopped at Patisserie Valerie for tea and cake, we waited more than 30 mins for 2 cakes a scone 2 teas and a white coffee, there were six staff members and the service was terrible, we went to complain twice on the long wait, and we were not the only ones complaining, we were very disappointed. They didn't even apologise for the long wait hence the rating !!

We were brought an afternoon tea experience and an experience it was. Staff need training in customer service, service with a smile clearly not a thing. We wasn't made to feel welcome and they didn't ask us what we'd like to choose from and didn't once come over and ask if everything was okay. No milk was provided with our 2 pots of tea, had to ask. Seemed too much going on in a compact environment. Glad I didn't have to pay for today otherwise I would have been extremely disappointed.
