        West Bastion was built as fortifications during the Napoleonic Wars to protect Northern Portsmouth, today, the remains of the fortifications form a beautiful skyline and landscape in the park and walking here is a refreshing experience with plenty of trees and greenery. It's an amazing place for a walk in the weekend.
